South Korean technology giant LG has reportedly applied for a total of 13 new device names for its Q-series smartphones in South Korea. The company has filed the applications to the Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information Service (KIPRIS) under Class 9, thus confirming that the devices are smartphones, as per the report by My LG Phones.

 

The list of devices includes the Q31, Q32, Q33, Q51, Q51S, Q52, Q53, Q61, Q62, Q63, Q91, Q92 and Q93. Other than the Q30 series, all the other Q-series phones have the current models in the lineup. The company may make an announcement about the Q-series of devices in a few months.

The company last week itself launched its Velvet smartphone in South Korea. The device comes at a price of 8,99,800 won (US$ 734 / Rs. 55,780). LG Velvet comes with a 6.8-inch full HD+ display with 1080×2340 pixel resolution. The smartphone features a ‘Waterdrop Camera’ and 3D Arc Design. Waterdrop Camera’ is a design in which three rear cameras and a flash are arranged in a vertical direction as if water droplets are falling.

The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor paired with 8GB of RAM. The device offers 128GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 1TB by adding a microSD card.

LG Velvet runs Android 10 operating system The dual-SIM smartphone offers the triple rear camera. The rear camera sports a 48MP main sensor with LED flash, 8MP ultra-wide lens, and 5MP depth sensor. The camera comes with quad biking technology which combines 4 pixels into one picture. The camera also offers voice out focus which separates the background noise and voice from a video. The front houses a 16MP selfie camera. The smartphone packs a 4300mAh battery with support for fast and wireless charging.
